Hi girls and welcome to this week's Scrap Write Now challenge. This is where we put the focus back on adding some meaningful journaling to your page and getting the story documented. I know that this is something we often struggle with, but I believe you'll be very grateful in the future if you make the effort now.

So let me share my page with you....

The story behind this page is how my Dad and brother went to Hong Kong last year and as part of the experience they each had a tailor-made suit fitted. The problem only came when they both wore their new suits to a family wedding a few months later and not only realised they looked identical to each other, but they no longer fit so well either!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Now don't forget as you're making your page and focusing on your journaling that you need to include this week's theme ingredient which is "paint". So many different ways to add paint to your layout, and it doesn't have to be as scary as you think ;)

Firstly, I used two colours of acrylic paint and one of my Crafters Workshop stencils to add some background details. Then I watered down some of the same orange paint to add some splashes and droplets, and just with my finger I swiped it over my white buttons to give them some colour too.

And lastly, you'll often see white paint or gesso on my pages. I use it when my colours or patterns are too busy and I want to tone it down, or where I want my embellishments or letters to stand out more. For example, when I first added the pink title letters onto the red and white tag it was quite difficult to read. But I painted the background with white paint first which allows you to still see the girl holding up the shirt but the letters are very clear. I did the same behind my green scissors in the bottom corner.
