Today I have a bit of a different Scrap it Blind challenge. I decided to step out of my comfort zone & try a double page LO BUT i wanted it to be in a shape not square!!??

It's a bit outside the box but it was lots of fun to do!

The theme this week is paint. To be honest I rarely use paint but it is a great way to add a splash of colour to your page. I decided to mix some paint with texture paste for a thicker consistency. I then used some mesh to emboss the texture paste for a different finish. (You can use paint on your page however you like, texture paste is optional)

So lets get started!
Supplies needed
X1 6X4 portait photo
X2 pieces white cardstock
6.5X4.5 inch photo mat in a Patterned paper (A)
X2 1X3 inch strips with a punched border on one side (B )
6inch trim (thicker style) (C)
12 inch trim (thinner style) (D)
X8 stickers or fussy cut elements
X1 large fussy cut element or sticker approx 7X 1.5 inch (E)
X1 large journal spot (does not have to be circle can be any shape)
embellies- I have used flowers, ribbon, buttons
Alphas
paint
X2 glimmermist
texture paste optional
stamping optional

Method
-Place both pieces of white cardstock side by side
-Imagine the page in 4 quarters. The 2 middle quarters remain square. Cut a shape out of the 2 end quarters (thinks stars, a semi circle anything you wish!)
- Spray both colours of glimmermist as desired (make sure you spray your 2 cut ends though)
- Stamp images/script (optional)
- Add a big patch of paint so it overlaps the 2 middle quarters
- Stick piece A just off centre in between the 2 middle quarters (so basically the photo/photo mat sits on both sides of the double LO
- Stick the photo on top of piece A so it sits centre
- Stick piece E left of the photo
- Stick both pieces of B along the bottom of the photo on the right hand side
- Stick thick trim underneath photo on left hand side
- Stick thin trim underneath thick trim so that it overlaps the 2 middle quarter pages (so it sits on both sides of the double LO)
- Stick your fussy cut elements or stickers
- on the bottom right hand side of the photo
- in the top right hand corner of the middle quarter
- on both end quarters where you have cut your shape
- Stick your journalling spot on the end qaurter on the right hand side
- Stick Alphas on the top right hand side of photo
-Embellish as desired

Because this a bit of a different challenge here is an extra peak at my page. I have folded my shapes back over so that my LO now looks like a single page but it flaps open to turn into a double
